Sem Aalo Ki Sabzi Recipe (Broad Beans)


Ingredients:

Sem ki phali  250g

Potatoes   2

Cumin seed 1 tsp

Tomato 2 small  chopped

Red chili powder  1 tsp

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Turmeric powder   1/2 tsp

Onion  1

Green chili 2

Salt to taste

Oil   2 tbsp 

All spice powder 1 tsp

Lemon juice 1 tbsp 

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Wash the beans, sem ki phali have fibrous string which are preferably removed before chopping them.
  2. Peel and chop potatoes into medium size pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a wok add cumin seeds, onion, fry till light golden .
  4. Add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes cook for 5 minutes till oil separate.
  5. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, green chilies cook for 2 to 3  minutes.
  6. Add sem ki phali and potatoes and 1/2 cup water cover and cook on low flame till done. 
  7. Lastly add lemon juice and all spice powder, coriander leaves mix well and cook for 1 minutes.
  8. Sem aalo is ready to serve.
  9. Enjoy it with roti or parathas.
