Murgh Cholay /Chicken Chickpea Recipe |

Serve 4
Ingredients:
Chicken 1/2 kg
Chickpea 250 g
Onion 1
Cumin seed 1/2 tsp
Tomato 2
Yogurt 1/4 cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Red chili powder 2 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
All spices powder 1/2 tsp
Black pepper crushed 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 1/4 cup
Ginger julienne for garnish
Coriander leave for garnish
Green chillies 2 to 3
Water as required
Method:
- In a bowl soaked chickpea for 2 hours.
- Add soaked chickpeas in 8 cup water and boil on low heat for 2 hour .
- Heat oil in a pan add cumin seed and allow them splutter add onion fry onion until golden.
- Add ginger garlic paste fry for few minutes until fragrant.
- Add chopped tomatoes cover and cook over medium heat until the tomatoes are mushy oil released from the sides.
- Now add chicken cook until the color change.
- After this ,add red chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder, salt,black pepper stir fry chicken pieces until they begin to take color .
- Then add whisked yogurt cover and cook until chicken is tender .
- When chicken is tender add boiled chickpeas stir them in.
- Adjust the consistency of gravy by add water now add all spice powder ,green chillies and coriander leave .cook for 2 minutes
- Garnish with ginger julienne
- Murgh cholay is ready.
- Serve with naan
