Ingredients:

Mutton  500 g

Onion chopped 2 medium

Garlic chopped  1 tbsp

Ginger chopped  1 tbsp

Yogurt  1/2 cup

Cumin crushed  1 tsp

Black peppercorn 7 -8

Tomato   2   

Red chili powder  1 tsp

Coriander powder  1 tsp

Turmeric powder  1/2 tsp

Green cardamom  2

Bay leaf  1

Clove   3

Cinnamon stick 1

Green chili chopped  3

All spice powder  1/2 tsp

Salt  to taste

Oil  1/2 cup

Coriander leaves  handful

Method:

  1. Clean and wash mutton
  2. Marinate mutton with yogurt, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin crushed, turmeric powder and salt .
  3. Mix everything and keep it aside for about 2 hours.
  4. Heat oil, add cardamom, clove,bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black pepper with chopped onion, fry till light golden.
  5. Add ginger garlic chopped saute few seconds,add the marinated mutton and cook for 10 minutes add water and cook until the mutton is 3/4 done.
  6. Add tomato sliced and saute till tomatoes are cooked soft.
  7. Cover and cook till mutton is tender and oil comes on top.
  8. Add green chili,coriander leaves, all spice powder cook another 2-3 minutes. once it is done switch off the flame.
  9. Serve dhaba mutton with steamed rice, roti.
