Ingredients:

Tamarind   125 g

Sugar   2 cup

Dry plum    125 g

Water   2 cup

Black salt as required

Method:

  1. Soak dry plum for two hour in a bowl.
  2. In an other  bowl soak tamarind in water for two hour.
  3. Then strain them and extract  the seeds from them and grind the pulp.
  4. In a wok add water and sugar mix well and cook until sugar is dissolved and continue cook until syrup is thickened.
  5. Add prepared pulp in it ,mix well and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
  6. Add black salt in it. ,and bring it to boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Imli aalo bukhara sharbat is ready.
  8. Let it cool down.then stored in bottle.
  9. Can be stored in refrigerator for up to a month.
  10. In serving glass,add imli aloo bukhara sharbat, ice cube and water.
  11. Stir and serve.


Note:

  • Amount of sugar will vary upon variety of tamarind used.

Make it store in ramzan. the drink is refreshing and cooling. the tartness from tamarind both are preservatives. plum has anti inflammatory properties. It good for heart disease ,constipation relief, high blood pressure, bone health and tamarind is a rich source of antioxidants, anticancer. Making imli aloo bukhara sharbat takes some time but the syrup can be stored for long in the fridge.
