Ingredients:

 Bread slice     4

Milk  1 liter

Sugar   1/2 cup

Milk powder   1 cup

Cardamom powder   1/2 tsp

Almond   1/4 cup crushed

Pistachio    1/4 cup  crushed

Method:

  1. Cut bread slices into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry bread slices for 3-4 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  3. Remove from oil and drain on a tissue paper.
  4. Heat milk in a large heavy bottomed pot on stove.
  5. Add fried bread in it.
  6. Cook on low heat for 5 to 6 minutes until milk turn thicken.
  7. Now add sugar  mix well. simmer for 2 minutes.
  8. Add cardamom powder, milk powder cook for 5-6 minutes or until done.
  9. Sprinkle almond and pistachio over it.
  10. Bread kheer is ready to serve.
  11. Enjoy!

Note:

  • This kheer tend to thicken with time so switch it off accordingly.

Bread kheer

Bread kheer is a quick and easy dessert. Bread kheer is flavored with cardamom. rice kheer usually requires slow cooking of the rice in milk and quite a bite of stirring. Bread kheer is far less finicky and takes fraction of time.
