Homemade Falooda Ice cream Recipe

Preparation Time  30 Minutes

Cook Time             15 Minutes

Serve                      2

Ingredients:

Milk  400 ml

Sugar  3 tbsp (according to your taste)

Basil seed / Chia seed 2  tbsp

Rose syrup 2 to 4 tbsp (Rooh afza) add as needed

Falooda sev 1/2 cup (rice or wheat vermicelli)

Vanilla ice cream  4 scope

Chop nuts  4 tbsp( pistachio ,almond raisin)

Strawberry jelly 2 to 4 tbsp

Water 1/2 cup (for soaking basil seed)

Method:

  1. Soak basil seed in water for about 20 to 30 minutes, once they swell using a strainer drain the extra water and set the soaked seed aside. 
  2. Prepare strawberry jelly according to package instruction.

Prepare Vermicelli

  1. Prepare falooda sev according package instructions. some need hot water soak and some require boiling
  2. Take 2 cup water in a saucepan and bring it to boil. Add vermicelli or sev cook until just done.
  3. Cook according to package instructions or until softened.
  4. Drain extra water and set aside.
  5. Chop nuts and set aside.

Prepare Falooda

  1. Take tall serving glasses, add  1 tbsp strawberry jelly to the glasses.
  2. Add 2 tbsp of rose syrup. depending upon the sweetness.
  3. Add 2 tbsp of soaked basil seed. add 2 tbsp of falooda sev.
  4. Add 1 cup of chilled milk.
  5. Add a scope of vanilla ice cream
  6. Garnish with pistachio, raisins, and almonds.prepare remaining falooda drink in the same way
  7. Serve falooda immediately.

Note:

  • If you want to make it drinkable use a smoothie straw and and make sure that the jelly pieces are really small and nut are finally chopped.
