Ingredients:
Mustard leaves 1 kg
Spanish 1/2 kg
Fenugreek leaves 1/2 cup
Maize flour 2 tbsp
Onion 1 large
Butter 2 tbsp
Garlic 15
Green chili 10
Whole red chili 5 to 6
Ginger chopped 2 inch
Salt to taste
Method:
- Firstly, clean and wash chop mustard leave, fenugreek leave, spinach.
- In a pot add water, add mustard leaves, spinach and fenugreek leaves, garlic clove, green chili chopped, and salt mix well and bring it to boil.
- Cover and cook on low flame cook for 2-3 hours.
- After cooking, blend the whole mixture with hand blender add maize flour, mix well cook for 5 minutes until saag thickens, set aside.
Tarka for sarson ka saag
- In a frying pan heat oil add garlic clove, button red chili, onion saute until it turns golden brown.
- Add cook and mashed leaves and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped ginger.
- Sarson ka saag is ready.
- Enjoy sarson ka saag with makai ki roti or chapati.
