SARSON KA SAAG
Sarson Ka Saag Recipe

Ingredients:

Mustard leaves 1 kg

Spanish  1/2 kg

 Fenugreek leaves 1/2 cup

Maize flour 2 tbsp

Onion 1 large

Butter 2 tbsp

Garlic 15 

Green chili 10

Whole red chili 5 to 6

Ginger chopped 2 inch

Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Firstly, clean and wash chop mustard leave, fenugreek leave, spinach.
  2. In a pot add water, add mustard leaves, spinach and fenugreek leaves, garlic clove, green chili chopped, and salt mix well and bring it to boil.
  3. Cover and cook on low flame cook for 2-3 hours.
  4. After cooking, blend the whole mixture with hand blender add maize flour, mix well cook for 5 minutes until saag thickens, set aside.

Tarka for sarson ka saag

  1. In a frying pan heat oil add garlic clove, button red chili, onion saute until it turns golden brown.
  2. Add cook and mashed leaves and mix well. 
  3. Garnish with chopped ginger.
  4. Sarson ka saag is ready.
  5. Enjoy sarson ka saag with makai ki roti or chapati.
