Preparation Time   25 Minutes

Cook Time              35 Minutes

Ingredients:


Dates 200 g

Baking soda   1 tbsp

Vanilla essence  1 tbsp

Sugar 200 g

 Butter  300 g 

Egg 6

Flour 350 g

Baking powder 1 tsp

Salt  1 tsp

Ingredients for sauce

Brown sugar   100 g

Butter  100 g

Cream  100 g 

Salt 1 tsp 

Chopped walnuts  1 cup

Method:

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and keep aside.
  2. In a separate bowl add butter and sugar and mix well.
  3. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
  4.  Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Pour batter into the cake tin and bake for 35 minutes
  6. Remove from oven.
  7. Let it cool.
  8. In a pan add all ingredients of sauce and cook  for 5 minutes.
  9. Keep in fridge. pour on the cake and serve.
