Chocolate Sponge Cake |
Ingredients:
Egg 6
Sugar 6 ounce or 12 Tbsp
Flour 4 ounce 8 Tbsp
Cocoa powder 2 ounce or 4 Tbsp
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Method:
- Beat eggs with sugar till light and fluffy.
- Add 1 tsp of vanilla essence and mix gently.
- Continue beating till the mixture double in volume.
- Fold in the sieved flour and cocoa.
- Gently grease a long rectangular pan and line with butter paper.
- Pour batter into baking pan and bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
- The sponge cake is ready when it leaves the sides of the tin and is springy to touch.
- Remove from the oven and cool.
- Cut into desired shape to make the pastries or any thing.
