Chocolate Sponge Cake

Ingredients:

Egg   6

Sugar   6 ounce or 12 Tbsp

Flour 4 ounce  8 Tbsp

Cocoa powder  2 ounce or 4 Tbsp

Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Beat eggs with sugar till light and fluffy. 
  2. Add 1 tsp of vanilla essence and mix gently.
  3. Continue beating till the mixture double in volume.
  4. Fold in the sieved flour and cocoa.
  5. Gently grease a long rectangular pan and line with butter paper.
  6. Pour  batter into baking pan and bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  7. The sponge cake is ready when it leaves the sides of the tin and is springy  to touch.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool.
  9. Cut into desired shape to make the pastries or any thing.
