Rice Kheer Recipe

Ingredients:

Rice  1/4 cup

Milk  1 liter

Green cardamom   4 to 5

Sugar  10  to 12 tbsp

Almond  2 tbsp

Pistachio  2 tbsp

Raisin  1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Rinse rice a couple of times till water runs clear of the starch.
  2. Then soak the rice in enough water for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Boil milk in a deep pan add rice simmer over low flame, stirring occasionally till rice is cook and milk become thick.
  4. Add crushed cardamom to the milk keep the low flame cook till milk will reduce  and rice will be completely cooked.
  5. Add sugar and mix. stir till sugar gets dissolved properly.
  6. Add nuts and cook kheer for 5 minutes more after adding sugar and nuts.
  7. Remove pan from heat garnish with more nuts and serve warm or chilled.
