Khubani Ka Meetha Recipe (Apricot Dessert)


Preparation time   10 Minutes

Cook time               30  Minutes

Serve                       4

Ingredients:

Dried apricot  2 cup

Sugar 1/2 cup

Water as required

For custard

Vanilla custard powder  3 tbsp

Milk 500 ml

Sugar  4 tbsp cup

Water as required

Cream as required

Almond as required

Method:

  1. Wash apricot with fresh water.
  2. Soak apricot overnight in water ,remove the apricots next day .
  3. Press the softened apricots with your finger and remove seeds.keep the water aside as we will be using later
  4. In a pot add sugar and soaked apricot with water  mix well until sugar is dissolved ,cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes or apricot get soft.
  5. Turn of the flame and blend the mixture until smooth.
  6. Add some almond and mix well and let it cool.transfer in a dish.
  7. Making custard:
  8. Boil milk and add sugar mix well 
  9. In a bowl add vanilla custard with 1/2 cup of milk and mix well.
  10. Add this mixture in a milk stir continuously  till custard thicken,remove and cool
  11. In a bowl add apricot mixture layer topped with custard  then layer fresh cream garnish with almond on top.
  12. Served chilled.

Note:

  • You can alter the quantity of sugar according to your taste.
  • Seedless apricots are easily available in market you can also use it.
