 Achari Chukander (Beet root) Recipe

Ingredients:

Beet root   2 medium peeled and grated

Garlic chopped  2 to 3 clove

Onion  1 medium chopped

Cumin  1 tsp

Coriander seed 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves  5 to 6 leave

Funnel seed  1/2 tsp

Red chili powder 1 tsp

Tamarind pulp  1 /2 cup

Oil  4 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cumin, funnel seed and coriander seed crush all the ingredient.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add onion fry till golden.
  3. Add chopped garlic fry it.
  4. Add grated beet root.
  5. Add cumin funnel and coriander, red chili powder, salt cover and cook.
  6. Add tamarind pulp cook till beet root soft water has dried out.
  7. Add 2 tbsp oil in a pan add curry leaves crackle them.
  8. Pour this tarka in beet root recipe. 
  9. Serve with rice, chapati.
