Chicken Karahi Recipe

Ingredients: 

Chicken 1 kg

Tomato 250g

Ginger  garlic paste 2 tbsp

Cumin crushed  1 tbsp

Green chili  10

Green coriander 1/2 bunch

Crushed red pepper 1 tbsp

black pepper crushed  1 tbsp

mixture of ground spice 1/2 tsp

Yogurt 1/2 cup

Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Ginger cut into match stick pieces 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Oil 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kharahi dish add chicken add ginger garlic paste continue fry this until the raw smell of the ginger garlic begins fade.
  2. Add all the chopped tomato  saute for another minutes.
  3. Add yogurt, cumin, crushed red pepper, black pepper, salt, mixture of ground spices, lemon juice.
  4. Stir until chicken piece are coated
  5. continue stir for about 6 to 7 minutes.
  6. Cover pan turn the flame medium to low heat let the karahi cook for 20 minutes.
  7. After 20 minutes remove the lid add green chili green coriander turn the flame high let the water evaporate.
  8. You will notice curry release oil at this stage add some of green coriander and green chili, ginger match stick piece cover the pan turn the flame lowest for 5 to 6 minutes.
  9. karahi ready.
  10. Enjoy with naan.
