Daal Samosa Recipe |

Serve 6
Ingredients:
Yellow lentil 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Onion 2 medium chopped
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
All spice powder 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala 1 tsp
Green chili 2 - 3 chopped
Dried mango powder 1 tsp
Coriander seed crushed 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Samosa strips are required
All-purpose flour 2 tbsp
Water as required
Method:
- Wash yellow lentil with water and soak in water for 1 hour.
- In a pot soak the yellow lentil with water, and bring them to a boil. Until tender.
- Strain it, and throw all the water.
- Finely chop onion, green chilies, and coriander with a knife.
- In a wok add oil add onion saute for 1 to 2 minutes, add red chili powder, salt, coriander seed, turmeric powder, chaat masala, all spice powder, and dried mango powder mix well.
- Add yellow lentil, coriander leaves, and green chili mix well and cook for 2 -3 minutes and mash well.
- Turn off the heat, and let it cool down.
- In a bowl add all-purpose flour, add water, and mix well to make a smooth paste and set aside.
- Take samosa Strips (patti) and a make pocket, add filling in the center roll into the shape of a samosa, and seal corners with all-purpose flour and water paste.
- Heat oil in a wok once the oil is hot, simmer the heat to low. Drop the samosas in medium hot oil and fry on low heat until golden brown.
- Keep stirring them every few minutes.
- Drain on a tissue paper towel.
- Serve hot with ketchup.
