Aloo Pakora Recipe(Potato Fritters) |

Serve 4
Ingredients:
Potato 3 medium
Gram flour 1 cup
Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder 1/4 tsp
Coriander seed crushed 1/4 tsp (optional)
Salt to taste
Water as required
Oil for frying
Method:
- In a bowl add gram flour, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander seed, chaat masala, and salt mix all the ingredients except water.
- Add water and keep whisking until you have a nice flowing batter. It should not be a very thick batter. The batter should be of coating consistency and set aside.
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Thinly slice them with a knife.
- Dip a potato sliced in the batter to check the batter's consistency. It should coat the potatoes completely.
- Heat oil in a wok, bring the oil to a medium heat.
- To check if the oil is ready for frying. Dip the sliced potatoes in the batter make sure coat completely.
- Add to the hot oil. Cook on low medium heat till the potatoes are golden brown. It will take about 3- minutes per side to cook through.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the pakoras, and drain on kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with chutney and ketchup.
