Ingredients:
Chickpeas 250 g
Potato boil cube 1
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Red chili flakes 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Tamarind pulp 2 tbsp
Tomato ketchup 2 tsp
Corn flour 2 tbsp
Onion 1 chopped
Tomato 1 chopped
Green chili 2
Chaat masala as required
Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
Curry leaves 10 to 12
Salt to taste
Papri for serving
Water as required
Method:
- Soak white chickpeas for 6 -8 hours or overnight.
- Now wash and drain the soak chickpeas .
- Boil soaked chickpeas in enough water, and boil for 50 minutes on medium flame.
- When chickpeas are soft, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, red chili flakes, chaat masala and salt mix well.
- Add tamarind pulp, tomato ketchup and mix well.
- Dissolve corn flour in water and gradually add corn flour paste mix well to cook until the gravy thickens.
- Add potato and mix it cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, onion, green chilies, curry leaves and give it a quick stir.
- Garnish with fresh coriander chaat masala and papri .
- Kathtiawari choley is ready to serve.
- Serve hot.
