Aloo Ki Tahari Recipe |

Serve 4
Ingredients:
Rice 500 g
Potato 4 to 6
Onion 1 slice
Green chili 3 to 4
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin seed 1 tsp
Clove 3
Cardamom 2
Cinnamon stick 1
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Tomatoes 2 large
Red chili powder 2 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 1 /4 cup
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method:
- Heat oil in a pot add onion fry till golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste add clove, cumin seed, cardamom,cinnamon stick, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add tomatoes and potato and add 1 cup water cook about for 10 minutes by this time tomatoes will be soft and potatoes are cooked.
- Clean and wash rice.
- In a separate pan add water add salt, add rice and wait for one full boil, after that strain them,throw all water.
- Add rice in a gravy add 1 cup water bring it to boil add green chili and coriander leaves.
- Cook on low flame until rice is done for about 10 to 12 minutes.
- Switch of the flame and do not open the lid.
- Aloo ki tahari is ready.
- Serve with raita and salad.
Note :
- The amount of water to be added to the rice depend upon the rice quality
- Monitor the quantity of water while cooking rice.
