Moong Masoor Daal |

Ingredients:
Red lentils 1/2 cup
Yellow lentils 1/2 cup
Water 5 cup
Onion 1
Tomato 1
Green chili 5
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
All spice powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Curry leaves 8 to 10
Coriander leaves for garnishing
For tadka
Onion 1
Oil 1/4 cup
Cumin 1 tsp
Whole red chili 5 to 6
Method:
- Wash red lentils and yellow lentils.
- Soak both lentils in water for 20 minutes.
- In a pot add soak lentil add ginger garlic paste, onion, tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, green chili, cover the lid and let it cook for 50 to 60 minutes at low to medium flame.
- Once the lentils is ready, begin to get the tadka ready.
Tadka:
- Heat oil in frying pan add onion fry till light golden add cumin seed fry for 1 minutes cumin seeds, red chilies, and whole color change and release their aroma.
- Carefully pour the tempering mixture over the lentils.
- Finally garnish with coriander leave and serve with rice and roti.
Note
- Wash the red lintels and yellow lentils till the water runs clear.
- The amount of water used in a lentils recipe depend on personal preference.
