Ingredients:

Plain flour 1 cup

Semolina 1 cup

Milk 1/2 cup or as required

Sugar  finely  grind  1/2 cup

Green cardamom powder  1/2 tsp

Coconuts powder  4 tbsp

Ghee 2 tbsp

Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Take a bowl add plain flour, semolina, sugar, cardamom powder, coconuts powder mix it well.
  2. Add ghee and mix it  and knead it with warm milk and cover with cloth and rest for 1/2 hour.
  3. After that make a ball of the dough and rolling it approx 1/2 inch and then cut it with circle shape cutter.
  4. Heat oil in a wok on medium flame circle shape dough put in a oil fry until it become golden brown color.
  5. Methi tikiya is ready.
  6. Tikiya keep well for weeks in a tightly sealed container.

Note:

  • Never fry on high heat.
  • Never cover right after frying.
  • Place on absorbent paper after frying as tikiya absorb oil.
