Testy Achari  Chana Ki Daal Recipe

Ingredients:

Split chick pea (chana daal)  250 g  soaked for 2 hour

Onion 1 medium

Turmeric powder  1/2 tsp

Curry leave   4 to 5

Carom seed  1 /4 tsp

Red chili powder   1 tsp

Tomatoes  2 

All spies powder  1/2 tsp

Ginger garlic paste   1 tsp

Coriander leaves   2 tbsp

Mixed pickle  1 tbsp

Green chili   2  

Mustard seed  1 tsp

Salt   to taste

Oil  1/2 cup

Bhgar :

Oil   2 tbsp

Cumin seed  1 tbsp

 Red chili round  4

Method:

  1. Take a wok  soaked split chick pea in 3 cup water and add salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, and cover and cook on medium to low flame for 25 to 30 minutes.
  2. Take a pot heat oil add onion slice and fry til golden now add ginger garlic paste saute for few seconds.
  3.  Now add chopped tomato and stir it add turmeric powder, red chili powder, mustard seed, carom seed, curry leave, salt stir it well and add 1/2 cup water and stir it and cover with lid cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  4. After 5 minutes add boiled split chickpea and stir it then add 1/2 cup water cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Remove the cover and stir it well on high flame turn of the flame.
  6. Now take a pan add oil and preheat it and then add cumin fry it add  red chili round  and turn off the flame add pickle and green chili and stir it and put on the daal and stir it.
  7. Add all spice powder and coriander leaves stir it.
  8. Serve hot with rice and naan.
