Singaporean Rice Recipe


Preparation Time  30 Minutes

Ingredients:

Chicken gravy

Boneless chicken  cut in cube 1/2 kg

Soya sauce  1 tbsp

Ginger garlic past  1 tbsp

Vinegar  1 tbsp

Red chili powder  1/2 tsp

Chili sauce  1 tbsp

Ketchup   1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Oil  1 tbsp

Water 3 tbsp

Fried vegetables

Capsicum 2

Carrot  1/2 cup julienne cut

Spring onion chopped  1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Red chili powder 1/2 tsp

Soya sauce 2 tbsp

Black pepper 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil 1 tbsp

Corn flour 4 tbsp

Water as required


Hot sauce

Mayonnaise /2 cup

Ketchup 1/3 cup

Chili  sauce  1 tsp

Salt to taste

Rice 2 cups

Spaghetti 1 packet

Garlic clove 5

Green chili 5

Method:

To make chicken

  1. Heat oil and add chicken and ginger garlic paste fry until chicken changes color.
  2. Add soya sauce, vinegar, salt and red chili powder and black pepper mix well. cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add red chili sauce and ketchup and water cook on low flame for 5 to 10 minutes until chicken is tender.dish out.

Fry vegetables

  1. In a pan add oil and add carrot, capsicum, spring onion, add soya sauce, salt, black pepper, red chili powder, chili sauce mix well and cook for 5 minutes until carrot are soft.
  2. Add some water and cook for another minutes.
  3. Add cornflour mix in water. cook until the sauce thicken.

Hot sauce

  • In a bowl add mayonnaise, add ketchup,red chili sauce and salt mix well and set a side.
  • In sauce pan boil spaghetti.

  • Fry garlic slice  until golden and crispy and fry  green chili slice until you see brown.
  • In same oil fry spaghetti for a minutes until warm.
  • Cook rice with salt and set aside.
Assembling:

  1. In a serving dish spread a layer of rice on the dish pour spaghetti on top. add layer of fried vegetables.
  2. And then add layer of chicken, finish with hot sauce, add fried garlic and fried chilies as top layer.
  3. Singaporean rice ready to serve.

Note:

  • You may add spaghetti in vegetable  gravy if you like.
  • It can be served with fried or garlic rice too instead of plain rice.
