Mixed Dal Recipe(Mixed Lentils) |

Ingredients:
Split pigeon pea (arhar daal) 1/4 cup
Red lentil (masoor daal) 1/4 cup
Green gram split(moong daal) 1/4 cup
Split chickpea lentil(chana daal) 1/4 cup
White lentil(mash daal) 1/4 cup
Onion 2 medium
Tomato 1 medium
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1/2 tbsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
All spice powder 1/2 tsp
Cumin seed 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Mint leaves 2 tbsp
Green chili 4 to 5(slit)
Curry leaves 10
Salt to taste
Oil 2 Tbsp
Water 4 cup or as required
Method:
- Pick and rinse the lentils a couple of time. soak the lentil in water for 2 to 4 hour.
- In a pot, add Split pigeon pea, Red lentil, Green gram split, Split chickpea lentil, White lentil. add ginger garlic paste, tomato, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder,1 onion slice and salt and water mix well bring it to boil.
- Cover and cook on low flame until tender (approx 50 to 60 minutes)
- Add all spice powder, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and green chilies and mix well cook for a minutes.
Tadka:
- In a frying pan add oil heat oil and add onion slice fry onion, add curry leaves, cumin seeds cook for a minutes.
- Pour tadka in daal and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with hot with roti or pharatha or rice.
