Beef Biryani Recipe

Preparation Time   20 Minutes

Ingredients:

Beef 1/2 kg

Rice 1/2 kg

Onion 1 large thin slice

Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp

Green chili 5 to 6

Tomato 2 medium

Yogurt 200 g

Red chili powder 1 tbsp

Crushed red chili 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tbsp

Whole spice 1 tbsp

Mace powder 1/2 tsp

Nutmeg powder  1/2 tsp

Star anise 4

Turmeric 1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil  1 cup

 

For rice

Salt to taste

Cumin seed 1/2 tsp

Ingredient for layering

Coriander leave 1/2 bunch

Mint leave 1/2 bunch

Fried onion 1/2 tsp

Yellow food color 1/2 tsp

Plum 50 gm

Method:

  1. In a pan heat oil add finally thin sliced onion saute until golden brown.
  2. Once onion golden,add beef cube along with ginger garlic paste saute  until beef color change.
  3. Now add tomato ,yogurt ,hole spices (cardamom,clove)nutmeg powder,mace powder,
  4. star anise, chili powder,coriander powder ,turmeric ,crushed red chili,salt.
  5. Cook on high heat,while constantly stirring for 8 minuteness 2 cup water,beef should be tender.


For rice

In another pot, bring water to a boil add rice ,cumin seed,salt cook the rice until it is parboil (3/4 for cooked)drain the rice colander.

For assembling

  1. In a large pot ,layer half of the rice .then add the beef curry and top with chopped coriander ,lemon mint leave,green chili,plum,cover with remaining rice
  2. Some yellow food color mixed with water.
  3. Cover and stem on low flame for 8 to 10 minutes until the rice is fully cooked.
  4. Mixed the biryani carefully and serve with raita.
