Beef Nihari  Recipe

Ingredients:

Meat 1 kg

Coriander powder 1 tbsp

Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp

Turmeric powder 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil 1 cup

Wheat flour 4 tbsp

Red chili powder 2 tbsp

Yogurt 125 g

Nihari spices

Green cardamom 5

Black cardamom 1

Black cumin 1 tsp

Black pepper  1 tbsp

Nutmeg 2

Star anise 2

Clove 3

Cinnamon 1 inch stick

For garnishing 

Green coriander

Ginger Julian

Green chilies

Method:

  1. On a flat pan add black cardamom, small cardamom, black cumin, clove.
  2. Add star anise, nutmeg cinnamon stick to roast for 30 second.
  3. Then all spice in grind finally, nihari masala ready.
  4. Heat oil in a pan add ginger garlic paste.
  5. Add meat red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt.
  6. Add nihari spices roast well.
  7. Add 1 cup water mix well cook 10 to 15 minutes.
  8. Add yogurt to the meat and mix well.
  9. Add 2 cup water.
  10. Cover and cook very low flame for 2 hours.
  11. Sieve the flour add little water make a paste in nihari mixture and stir continuously until the flour mixture is mixed well.
  12. now cook another 15 minutes.
  13. Fill nihari in serving bowl, garnish with ginger and coriander leaves green chilies.
  14. serve with lemon slice and naan.
