Ingredients:
For Kofta
Beef mince 1/2 kg
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Poppy seed 1/2 tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
Green coriander 3 tbsp
Green chili 5
Roasted chickpeas 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
For Gravy
Onion 1 Large
Yogurt 1 cup
Oil 1/2 cup
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Cumin seed 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Mixture of ground spice 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
For Kofta
- Grind poppy seed, roasted chickpeas, and black pepper.
- In a large bowl add mince along with the spices grind spice, coriander leaves, green chilies, red chili powder, and salt mix well, and make small balls.
For Gravy
- Heat oil in a pan and fry onion till it turns golden brown, remove it on the pan and wait for it to turn crisp grind fried onion and mix it in yogurt.
- In a pan add cumin seed, chili powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, mixture of ground spice, yogurt onion mixture mix well and slightly cook it.
- Add kofta to it and cook on low flame when oil start appearing on top.
- Lastly add coriander leaves and serve hot with naan and rice.
Tip:
To make malai kofta, you can add some fresh cream.
